The playstation 3 was released November 17, 2006. Two versions were released which were a 20GB selling for $499 and a 60GB selling for $599 in the U.S. The 60GB is equiped with a Blu-ray disc player which cost $1000 by itself because of it's high-def technology. Its controller is the basic Dualshock controller but with added features such as wireless and motion sensors although its vibration feature is removed because it might interfere with the motion sensors.
The Xbox 360 was release long before the PS3 and Nintendo Wii. It has online characteristics which compliment the game Halo which is a widely played game across the world. Instead of a Blu-ray player it uses a HD DvD player.
The Nintendo Wii has a wireless controller just like the PS3 although the controller its much more interactive rather than the Dualshock controller. It also includes attachments that increases its interactivity. The Wii is considered the most interactive game among the current consoles. It makes up for its relatively poor use of graphics. It shows how the Nintendo incorperates the consumer but fails to include an image among the television which many consumers are affected by. The size of the wii makes it portable and is the smallest console out of the PS3 and Xbox 360.
