Painting Simplicity inside Complexity

Christian Nold, an amazing artist, uses a different technique to draw his paintings. Nold creates his paintings by information he gathers about people through technology. Nold has his employees walk around with a device similar to a lie detector and a GPS. After a while he saves the records in the device and uses it to paint a picture. He was invited into an expo for his artwork among three hundred others. Many people ask how he paints his pictures thinking that it's very complex. Node replies that it's really simple. Node is becoming famous among the art world and for a good reason. His technique is unique. Although introducing technology into art is not original. Node creates his artwork based on information he receives from the devices. He does say; however, he can't read their emotions, thoughts, or feelings. An article on Christian Nold is found in Cnn

Del.icio.us bookmarking

The three pages I bookmarked is about basketball, video game faqs, and drifting. All the pages were basically informational and told me about each subject. The basketball page told me about what is going on in the world of basketball, the video game faq page showed me new ways to play a video game such as: entering different cheatcodes, how to play the game differently, or what a certain game plays like, and the drifting page showed me how differnet drifts are initiated, driven, and finished. The pages can help someone doing research on drifting, certain video games, or the world of basketball. There are definitly other pages like the ones I bookmarked or somehow related. These pages are mainly bookmarked for my interest, but I can use it to do a report if it ever is related to the page topic. I bookmarked the page by clicking tag on the toolbar and simply typing in a summary of the page and some tag words. These are the pages I bookmarked drift website , espn/basketball , gamefaqs.

I tunes

Picture Website
Itunes was a very simple program that I can direct through with ease. I can find the new releases, what's popular, and what the staff likes. I can get most of it for free, but for others I would have to pay. In Itunes I listened to "Dane Cook Tourgasm", which was mostly about how he does his jokes, changes his appearance to his new audience, and the affects he had on the audience. He also describes how he feels about his material and what he does to keep his audience interested. On itunes there's a direction panel, which includes itunes library, store, videos, podcast, music, etc. All in all itunes is simple, easy, and includes a variety of products. itunes.com/download

Earth Day 2007

Earth Day was created by John McConnell around March 21st who was surprised by Earth's deterioration. Over 20 million supported him including the government. Today there's more than 175 countries supporting Earth Day. Examples of things that people try to avoid during Earth Day is car pollution, pollution in general, misuse of trash disposal, and anything that would reduce the Earth. What Gaylord Nelson had in mind was that he thought of the Earth as his home, so therefore he thought that trash on Earth is like trash in your house. During Earth Day people try to save the Earth by using different kinds of transportation other than those that use pollution, planting trees, using less energy, etc. Basically people are being conscious about Earth until the next Earth Day. Here's a video on Earth Day, which was created by DarthPi

Family Connections 2

My mom takes care of my brother and cooks most of the time, which makes her part of my family. She also works as a nurse, which helps bring in some money for the family. My father works from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 at South San Francisco City Hall. He brings in most of the income, but he also maintains most of the house. He hardly ever stops working, which is why he leads the family most of the time. My grandmother cooks along with my mother and they make most of the meals. My brother is someone that can't be left alone, so there's at least one family member watching him. My dog, Bantai, live at the back and runs around until midnight. He kills gophers, chases away other dogs, but most of all chases away solicitors. I have an uncle that isn't blood-related, but he's part of the family because he's my father's friend. Eight houses away my other Aunt and Uncle live in their own house. My Aunt is my father's sister who works in a high school in San Francisco. My uncle married my aunt in 2000 and works along the railroad for bart. My Aunt and Uncle are family because we help support each other and go on vacations together most of the time. They also have a male dog that plays around with my dog sometimes and he protects my Uncle and Aunt's house. He's family because he's just like my dog who protects the house, but he gets to enter my Aunt's house. My dog only lives outside because I've never trained him to do his things outside.

Copyright

Copyright save a person's work from being copied from other people. Although, it allows some things to be copied, which makes the work much more useful to a person. There is also creative commons, which scales copyright. Whether it's full or partial copyright. Copyright; however, doesn't protect all work, but when found can allow the owner of the work to sue the person that used their works. Most of the web sites among the web is copyrighted even though some don't have the symbol. Copyright is found among the internet, books, and other such works. Most of the websites I read on helped me understand copyright, which let me get 100% on the internet test.

Internet Statistics

I believe that the internet greatly influences many people, which affects their lives greatly as well. The internet is obviously addicting, but really can help you. Although the fact that the internet connects the people accross the world, it can really destroy you. Basing your life around the internet is really dangerous. Life on the web can really hurt you if you don't know what your doing. I believe that there are only a few people that should be allowed to surround their life with the internet, but then I would be a hypocrite.

Fuzzy Logic

I think Fuzzy Logic is just like AI. The way a computer can work like a human brain is very important to advancing into the next generation. Now we can do more with computers than we used to. The Fuzzy Logic is probably very important to the way a country operates. Without Fuzzy Logic the U.S. might not be able to be as great as it is today.

Family

What's your idea of what a family can be?
They can be people that support you, are close to you, or someone that you love.

Who is in your family circle?
My Mother, Father, Brother, Grandmother, and my dog.

What is your family like?
My family is a group of Filipinos that are serious, hardworking, and successful.

Does your family circle involve a variety of people?
Mostly relatives closeby, but also across the globe.

Different generations?
Well at least three or four.

Explain the following quote:

"Families evolve from a patchwork of possibilities"

People are considered family by the person's aspect of them. Anyone can become family by just the possibility of meeting them. Then the relationship is built upon for them to truly become family.

What I learned during the project

I learned that the interviews of many of the projects were affected by age, gender, influence, etc. I also found that you can't be joking around if it's a serious problem specially when your being recorded. Many of the projects though were mostly on the new game consoles that were released. The projects also were created differently and were of different quality. Each of the projects were well done though, but some are yet to be presented. The variety of the presentations though kept me interested, but the repeated topics were really boring. I also found that most of the people interviewed were usually by students or family members rather than the world. Listening to the problems of life also interested me. I was greatly dissappointed with repeating topics which seemed to be Nintendo Wii vs. Microsoft Xbox 360 vs. Sony PS3.

Frustrations

A frustration that will occur will be the problem with time. As a pre-IB student my life is compressed with other projects from other subjects that I undertake. I do my best to complete all assignments given. The three weeks that was given to us may not be enough because of our knowledge of technology could be too novice. The procedure includes transfering the video to a DvD disc then we'll have to include text overlays.
Another frustration might be that my partner may also might not have enough time to collaborate with me. Google docs is a good way of communicating and doing work with each other but he might not enough have enough time to enter and collaborate over the internet. The whole project depends on the participation of each group member which keeps the project held back

Nintendo Wii vs. Xbox 360 vs. Playstation 3

The playstation 3 was released November 17, 2006. Two versions were released which were a 20GB selling for $499 and a 60GB selling for $599 in the U.S. The 60GB is equiped with a Blu-ray disc player which cost $1000 by itself because of it's high-def technology. Its controller is the basic Dualshock controller but with added features such as wireless and motion sensors although its vibration feature is removed because it might interfere with the motion sensors.
The Xbox 360 was release long before the PS3 and Nintendo Wii. It has online characteristics which compliment the game Halo which is a widely played game across the world. Instead of a Blu-ray player it uses a HD DvD player.
The Nintendo Wii has a wireless controller just like the PS3 although the controller its much more interactive rather than the Dualshock controller. It also includes attachments that increases its interactivity. The Wii is considered the most interactive game among the current consoles. It makes up for its relatively poor use of graphics. It shows how the Nintendo incorperates the consumer but fails to include an image among the television which many consumers are affected by. The size of the wii makes it portable and is the smallest console out of the PS3 and Xbox 360.

PS3 vs. Wii vs. Xbox 360 at Capuchino Highschool

My partner's name is Lucas M.
We will be determining the popularity between the PS3, Nintendo Wii, and Xbox 360. We will be asking about the different features of the game consoles and the affect they have on the players themselves. Most of the popular questions will be about the price, graphics, gameplay, and presentation of each console. The video will be based on the students inside Capuchino. The age group of people interviewed will be 14-16 year old males. Our video shall be transfered to a dvd with text overlays, graphs, and fotage of interviews.

Online SOCOM 3

Lately I've been playing on the PS2 console. I've been on SOCOM3 and it's pretty exciting. I've borrowed my friends headset so I'm able to communicate with other people. Unfortunately, not many people choose to rank the game so therefore I'm unscored but if I was I would guess I'm around average. If I really delve into SOCOM3 I just might own the game. I recommend SOCOM3 for all action packed online players. Its graphics, sounds, and gameplay are extra-ordinary. This game is packed with many other features so get playing.
